Practice Heavy Vehicle Road Rules Test

Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Licence

MR Truck Licence allows operation of a Truck or Bus (including a prime mover or mobile crane) of more than 8 tonnes GVM with not more than 2 axles, with or without a trailer of not more than 9 tonnes GVM.

Pre-requisites & Requirements

A current Australian Driver’s Licence card; held for a minimum of 12 months
Secondary identification
Wear appropriate clothing, including with completely enclosed boots or runners.
English is the only language used for training and assessment; a functional level of English language comprehension is necessary.

Additional Costs

A mid-week practical driving test booking fee of $70
A mandatory written knowledge test $27.75
